Upside Down and Inside Out

At the end of 2015, my first book, The Boyfriend Deal, was accepted by Evernight Teen for a possible February 2016 publication. I took December off to spend time with my family, but now that January is here, I’m back to writing again. I’m already on chapter two of my next story, More Than Friends, which I hope to have finished by either end of the month or beginning of February.

My schedule is about to drastically change so my writing may slow down a little. My husband works for the local police department and he’s being moved to the night shift. Now, I have to be up in the mornings to get the kids off to school, and up in the afternoons and evenings to take care of them, but…I think I’m going to adopt my husband’s sleep schedule and spend the hours my kids are sleeping getting some writing done, and then sleep during the day with my husband while the kids are in school. I tend to get more done in the wee hours of the morning so this may be a good thing. (even though my husband isn’t too thrilled with the schedule change)

Do you have a whacky schedule? Maybe work the midnight shift and sleep all day? What are the pros and cons of your current schedule, and would you change it if you could?

Working 9-5 I guess you could say I have a typical sleeping schedule when I do sleep. I prefer and miss the hours I could keep while still in college. Sleeping in until 9:30 suited me just fine. With that being said I asked for earlier hours at work because I’m up by 5:30 during the week anyways.
